incredABLE Volunteers

Given the right support, we can all do incredABLE things!  Volunteers can have a massive impact on the lives of the people they support.  Through incredABLE projects and services we want to make a difference to the lives of people with a learning/intellectual disability and/or autism and we need YOUR help!

To support our work, we recruit volunteers to assist individuals in achieving personal goals, within an ethos of promoting choice and opportunity.  We are committed to involving volunteers at all levels of organisation and to supporting people of all abilities who want to volunteer with us.

incredABLE have a wide range of opportunities within our day opportunities, short breaks and 1:1 services for almost any skill set and time commitment.

We also have four key volunteer roles:

Project Support (Service delivery)

Fundraiser/Events Coordinator

Admin Support

Minibus Driver

Various locations across the Southern Health and Social Services Trust area, short break, regional destinations or incredABLE head office.

Time commitment is flexible and ideally volunteer support workers should be available 2-3 hours per week on a regular basis to assist with planned activities.

Skills Required
Essential skills are patience, empathy, reliability and a genuine commitment to working as part of a team to help others.

incredABLE reimburses volunteers for all reasonable expenses they incur as a result of volunteering.  This includes travel expenses and where appropriate a daily subsistence payment.

While volunteering with us we will provide the support necessary to encourage and empower you to make a meaningful and valuable contribution and gain significant benefit from your volunteering experience.  All incredABLE volunteers receive full training and support.

If you wish to volunteer with us, we would be delighted to work with you in making a real difference in the lives of individuals with a learning/ intellectual disability and autism.
